Construction Teaching assistant

Working within our small team, as the Teaching Assistant you will be primarily accountable for the provision of hands-on guidance and support to Construction students who are studying for entry-level qualifications in our workshop environment. Reporting to the Training Manager and working with the Construction Curriculum Lead, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons and associated materials and for ensuring that students are supervised, guided, and encouraged to complete activities to a high standard, maintaining focus on qualification outcomes and good student discipline and commitment. This is all against a backdrop of strict safeguarding requirements and positively engaging in the creation of a learning environment which has student safety and welfare at the very heart of it.

We are looking for an effective and enthusiastic individual who can establish and maintain a positive connection with our students while using a variety of tools, techniques, and teaching styles to convey the learning required for our students to achieve their construction industry qualifications. Prior work experience in the construction industry and provision of training/coaching in a practical setting with an emphasis on young people is essential.
