We’ve been lucky to be joined by Pluto, a work-experience student studying at the College of West Anglia. You may have seen some of his work on our social media channels, as well as the filming of our Road Safety Week video featuring Centre Manager Robin.
We sat down with Pluto to find out what made Open Road his choice for the duration of his work experience, and what he’s gained from his time with us.
“I wanted to do my work experience at Open Road because I think the world needs more places like Open Road and places similar, and I wanted to do my part for the community. Unfortunately, my placement here is only 30 hours, however, I would absolutely love to carry on as a photographer/videographer at Open Road to help with anything they may need.
“I’d say the most interesting part of Open Road is the students, they are all smart in a way schools just don’t see. My favourite subject to shoot at open road was the construction area, as I was able to take photographs of every step of the way which I did not have the opportunity to previously.
“I am currently studying at the College of West Anglia. I am in my second year of an A-level course, my subjects are Art, Media, and Photography. Photography has been one of my interests since March 2021, when I was given a camera I didn’t know how to use, I now know how to use it fully and still use the same camera to this day.”
We’ve been so thankful for Pluto’s images and video content, capturing the training centre through his own lens.
