Road Safety Week runs from the 19th to the 25th of November this year. It is a national awareness week aimed to share important road safety messages and bring awareness to the risks that road safety poses.
As part of the awareness week here at Open Road, Centre Manager, Robin Hansell, has been working with the students to complete winter checks on vehicles. This is a great skill for them to have, as it highlights potential hazards that can be addressed as a vehicle enters the colder months.
Some of the key things to look out for are:
- Tyre tread depth
- Battery health
- Oil levels
Our work experience student, Pluto, was able to record a session where Robin was sharing the checklist process and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with you below:
We hope this video has enabled you to learn something new to look out for in your own vehicle, and the students have an additional skill that they can take with them after their time at Open Road.
